At the age of 14, a significant moment occurred that would shape my future. One of my intricate arrangements caught the eye of a customer, and to my immense pride and joy, it was sold. That day marked a turning point in my life, as I realized that flowers would forever be intertwined with my journey.
As I grew older, so did my experience and expertise in the world of floral artistry. From Valentine's Day and anniversary celebrations to weddings and funerals, I found myself crafting exquisite arrangements for every occasion. Business thrived, and my love for what I did only deepened.
However, in 2015, our family made the life-changing decision to move to Houston, Texas, leaving our beloved flower shop behind. Filled with dreams and eager for new opportunities, we embraced the challenges of a new country.
As we settled into our new home, we explored different avenues to sustain ourselves. Two years passed, and although things seemed stable, I couldn't shake the yearning to work with flowers once more. It was then that I decided to create Fleurette D'amour.
Initially, my floral haven operated from my sister's garage. However, within just five months, fate smiled upon me. An invitation arrived, inviting me to become a part of the esteemed family at Harvest Natural Market. From 2018 to 2022, I thrived within this bustling marketplace, honing my craft and delighting the community with my floral expertise. Today, I continue to flourish within the same building, now occupying Suite 222—a space I once only dreamed of.
As I reflect on my journey, from those carefree moments spent playing with leftover flowers as a child to the thriving business I've built today, gratitude overwhelms me.
